On the 20th and 21st of May, Abdelmoneim Bakr, MENA Regional Director, took part in a workshop organized by Syngenta on biopesticides in Oman, Muscat in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in Oman and CropLife Africa Middle East. The objective was to share insights on optimal practices for biologicals registration framework. The event gathered 35 participants from different agricultural and environmental sectors including registration department, agricultural quarantine, environment authority, agricultural research centers, and general agricultural directorates in Oman.
Oman has a leading role in the GCC’s pesticide-related topics and is considered as a reference for pesticide registration.
